CMYK

  • CMYK refers to the four inks used in some color printing: cyan, magenta, yellow and back.
  • All colors begin with white, to which different colors are added to absorb (subtract) the amount of light that is reflecting. Exactly the opposite of the properties of RGB color.
  • It is used in color printing and is also used to describe the printing process itself.
  • It use light absorption rather than reflection in RGB.
  • This color model generally used in printed work.


  • Mixing these four color huge number can be created.


Advantage of CMYK

  • Less color process of print
  • More productivity
  • Cost minimizing
  • CMYK color can be used for different item of print because of common color way

Disadvantage of CMYK

  • Shade variation


  • Improper mixing color
