CMYK refers to the four inks used in some color printing: cyan, magenta, yellow and back.
All colors begin with white, to which different colors are added to absorb (subtract) the amount of light that is reflecting. Exactly the opposite of the properties of RGB color.
It is used in color printing and is also used to describe the printing process itself.
It use light absorption rather than reflection in RGB.
