Minimalism

  • Minimalism is just keeping things simple.
  • The concept minimalism is removal of all the unnecessary parts, details and joinery in such a stage where no one can remove anything further to improve the design.
  • It is simple in form and function, devoid of pointless decorations, yet expensive.

Minimalism color palettes and shape
  • Minimalism all about extreme simplification of form. We can't expect complex shape and all the subtle shades of color.
  • The minimalists of today use more complex shapes and richer color palettes.

Fonts in minimalism
  • Minimalist fonts are crisp, straightforward, and basically they lack any decorations.
Helvetica
  • Helvetica is a font that is related to both modernism and minimalism.
  • It was created back in 1957. By today’s standards, it’s not a notably stripped back construction, but for its time, it was revolutionary, as most of the dominant fonts were much more heavily ornamented.
Mr. phone
  • Mr. Phone takes the approach of using a very limited vocabulary of shapes in the construction of each letter.
  • Mr. Phone was created in 1997 by Glyphobet Font Foundry.
  • It isn’t a font that dates back to the early days of minimalism but it’s certainly minimal in spirit.

  • It loads faster as it has fewer elements and applications.
  • It gives professional look.
  • A minimalist design look good. Our eye can catch every element easily.

Disadvantages

  • Achieving the minimalist design is won’t be easy.
  • In minimalist design smallest mistake can affect its reputation and tag it as being overdone.
  • There is a determined rule of how much content you’re allowed to introduce on every page.
